The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), in collaboration with the Departments of State, Commerce, and Energy, is sponsoring U.S. – ASEAN Energy Infrastructure Symposium and Reverse Trade Mission (RTM) December 7-11, 2015 to foster U.S. and ASEAN partnerships in clean power generation and grid modernization projects in ASEAN member states. The two-day symposium scheduled for December 10 -11, 2015 in San Francisco, CA at the Fairmont Hotel will highlight regional energy infrastructure projects and initiatives, U.S. technologies, and the regulatory frameworks, standards, and financing mechanisms available to support them. Prior to the Symposium attending senior level ASEAN member state delegates will participate in a three day reverse trade mission and attend site visits and meetings with US companies, utilities, regulators and national laboratories in California and Colorado to highlight U.S. technology, case studies and best practices. There will be two tracks for the RTM: Power Generation and Power and Transmission.
At least 24 senior energy stakeholders from Indonesia, Vietnam, Burma, Malaysia, the Philippines and the ASEAN Secretariat will participate in the Symposium and RTM. The delegates are expected to represent power utilities, generation facilities, national transmission corporations, and regulators.
