The Turkish Ship & Yacht Exporters Association is organizing a trade mission to OTC 2015 to bring together established Turkish offshore suppliers with OTC attendees. The participating Turkish firms represent established shipyards and manufacturers of marine equipment and supplies, rigs, oilfield equipment and pressurized containers and vessels. The association is setting up B2B meetings on May 6, 2015 at NRG Stadium throughout the day. This is an excellent opportunity to quickly meet with representatives of leading Turkish ship- yards and suppliers serving the global offshore industry.

Shipyards Serving the Offshore Industry

Cemre Shipyard builds and repairs special purpose platform support ships, dry cargo ships, fishing boats and others ships. The company’s shipbuilding program started with the building process of two special purpose platform support ships. Cemre Shipyard continues its infrastructure investments in order to increase its sheet metal processing capacity of 12.000 tons per year.

 

Çeksan produces, repairs and converts small and mid sized vessels. They have been in the shipbuilding industry for over 40 years and have built more than 50 vessels from basic barges to sophisticated ferries and chemical tankers in any class and type.

 

Desans Shipyard’s infrastructure is ready to satisfy the specific needs of any scheduled or emergency repair, in dry-dock or afloat.  The shipyard is capable of building commercial, offshore support and supply vessels, fishing vessels, tugboats and mega yachts in its enclosed ship production area.Desan has been in the shipbuilding business since 1974 using state of the art shipbuilding technology. In 1999, Desan was the first shipyard to build an IMO II Chemical Tanker in Turkey. Naval Shipbuilding operations started in 1970.

 

Gemak Shipyard continues with its experienced resources, modern facilities, and excellent track record is a leading ship repair and ship building group in Turkey.  Gemak Group includes Gemak Shipyard (established in 1969), TGE Shipyard (acquired in 2000), and Neta Steel & Pipe Fabrication Yard (established in 2008) and continues to provide dry-docking, ship repair, conversion and new ship building services.  Gemak Group is proud of being a 'Reliable Partner' to over 1500 ship owners and operators.   The group offers Offshore and Onshore Construction services and has  completed a significant number of modification and repair projects of Offshore Construction vessels.  In addition to its traditional "Ship Repair andShipBuilding" business and a new line of "Offshore Construction" services, GemakGroup will soon provide services for the construction of naval ships.  Gemak Group strategic plan also includes building a custom designed new shipyard / fabrication yard at the property owned by the group in Yalova. This new facility will be designed and built to meet the requirements for building and delivering new ships and structures of various sizes and types.

It also can handle a variety of industrial steel construction projects. Sedef is the biggest shipyard in Turkey with open and closed product areas. Other products include drilling equipment and support fleets.  Petrotek Drilling is a subsidiary of BM Holding Inc., a construction, renewable energy generation, geothermal and natural gas exploration and drilling contracting group located in Ankara, Turkey.

Steering Systems, Deck Machinery, Supplies

Data Hydraulic  was founded in 1945 in Istanbul, Turkey. The company’s continual investment in research, design and unwavering commitment to quality has earned them an excellent reputation in steering systems and hydraulic deck machinery systems for the offshore and fishing industries.  The company produces mechanical clutches, winches for fishing vessels, mechanical steering systems, and hydraulic steering systems as well as hydraulic/electrical anchor windlasses and capstans. Mariner Ship's Equipment designs and produces deck machinery and equipment.  Mariner Ship's Equipment’s main production facility is located in Tuzla, Istanbul, at the heart of Turkey’s shipbuilding industry.  All production, controls and testingare done according to ISO 9001 standards. Their products include: hatch covers and gantry cranes, tween decks & grain bulkhead systems, ro-ro equipment, deck machinery, provision/hose/service cranes, rudder systems and steering gears. Gimas Ship Supply & Services provides general ship supplies, technical & engineering services, and logistics & freight forwarding services. The company offers their clients a wide variety of products covering all kinds of provisions, cabin, deck, engine stores, bonded items, stationery, galley utensils, disposables, nautical publications, spares / machinery, chemicals, maintenance products, laundry services, and customs brokerage. UCEL Maritime and Trade Co provides design, construction, maintenance, and towage of sea structures. In addition to ships and other vessels, the company also designs and constructs specific orders; such as dry docks and their various accessories, floating concrete structures, slip ways, and other products.

 

Cryogentic Tanks, Containers and Equipment

Cazgir TOC is an internationally accredited pressurized vessel manufacturer specializing in cryogenic tanks, offshore and ISO containers, tankers, special cryogenic equipment, and variety of pressurized vessels.  The company’s headquarters is in Samsun, Turkey with manufacturing facilities in Corum, Turkey and Houston, Texas.

Enter the stadium via the Kirby Drive side and take the elevators to the 800 level. The meeting room is just to the right when you come off the elevator.  The Stadium is a short walk from NRG Center or you may also take the shuttle. There is a drop off point right in front of the west club elevator on Kirby Street.
